Freezing Rain

When you read the title Freezing Rain, do it with the tune of Purple Rain in your head, It's more interesting that way! I have it stuck in my head "freezing rain, freezing rain, freezing rain..." Sorry I am digressing, it just seemed fun at the time.

There is freezing rain here. Sometimes when everyone is making a big deal about it here, it's just seems like a wet snow, and not big deal. But this time, it was something totally spectacular! Every tree, from limb to limb, is covered in crystal clear ice. It's beautiful! It's so heavy for the trees that they are crumpling over and even breaking from the weight. You can't drive anywhere without almost being blinded from the glimmering ice! Every blade of stale grass to the dewy moss growing on the trees.

Shylee and I did our best to capture this amazing scene.

Just imagine looking into a winter-wonderland of trees with the sun setting behind it all, and radiating this amazing and spectacular sparkle that is purely astounding. If you can imagine then you have a good picture of what it looks like here :)

Bounty(less) on a Tooth

Conversation between Trapper and Hunter:

"Hunter, do you know that you only get 1 dollar for ALL the pain you have to go through to pull a tooth out?"

"From the Tooth Fairy?" asks Hunter (playing the game, which I appreciate!)

"Yeah!" says Trapper in a voice that definitely conveys the unfairness of the pay off amount from the Tooth Fairy.

Trapper has been wiggling a tooth that has a cap over it. These are not easy teeth to loosen out! I thought I was being a cool mom when I upped the price of a tooth to a dollar. But I guess I never had caps, maybe they are definitely worth more :)

THe picture is of Fisher's lack of teeth. His front teeth are now grown in :)

Shylee would get to the point where her teeth would just fall out by themselves. She hated wiggling so much that she and Lance Albern were playing, bumped heads and out comes a tooth! It happened 2 times!!
Next round is braces for Shylee and Lance ALbern. They ahve had to wait until we were through with residency! As much as I appreciate teeth, they sure are a source of grief!!!!

Let it Snow?

I am not sure if I am all into all the snow and cold this year. I usually am a cold temp person (hopefully my soul is NOT included in description) but I am very ready for the summer!

To be quite frank (whom ever he is ) I am finished. I am cold. Our house isn't what you would call a "warm home." I mean, there is a lotta love here, but the wood stove just isn't cuttin' it!!! I don't think I remember what it feels like to be warm!? Maybe someone could explain it to me again :)

I do love the pictures I get of my kids having fun, building forts and digging to China but baby~

Bring on the warm!

A sidenote~

We have Flat Stanley. He came from my sis-in-law, Cally, in Payson, Utah. He has been having a great time. I forgot to bring him to the basketball game last night, but he will be coming on Friday! Then he is back to Utah. He loves the dogs AND he got to build a snow fort with the kids! He has been a fun visitor... the quiet type, but quite the party animal!!!

Don't Forget To Brush!

I am standing in the bathroom, I look up and what do I see? A toothbrush hanging right over me!!!

Someone had a "bright" idea to suck the bottom of the toothbrush to the light in the bathroom!!!

I LOVE IT!!! Kids are so random, and their randomness makes me smile everyday!!!

Come to find out it was Trapper :)

He made my day.

Educated Insult

The other day Rider walks very confidently into the bathroom, climbs up on the counter and starts washing his hands. He looks at himself in the mirror and makes this very disgruntled look. Before I could even ask him what was wrong he announces~

"Trapper is a neuron."

He finishes washing his hands while freezing the look to his face, and commandingly walks out of the room.

Even though I know he meant moron, I was so impressed that he used such a scientific word. Maybe I will teach him dendrite next :)

Manhood Restored

I was on the phone with Lance, telling him that Rider was watching a Strawberry Shortcake movie. Rider exclaims " Don't tell Dad I was watching that...it's a girl show!" Then the disgruntled Rider talks into the phone to his Dad and says "I was watching a Power Ranger show...she forgot (meaning I was mistaken about the movie he was watching). Rider then looks at me with the face of " WHEW!" "That was a close call." I guess even at 4 years old your man-hood can be at stake :)

I posted it to my Facebook status :) I couldn't help it!
