The Other Side To The Stone

Fisher was working sooo hard at playing with Rider (in Power Ranger costumes and all). Then he comes out to me with a nice bright red handprint on his chest. He is crying, saying how he was playing with Rider (because I told him to) and how Rider was being mean and hitting him!

The injustice!

So, I call Rider to come out, and I tell Fisher that he doesn't have to play with Rider anymore.

Rider comes out with his sad blue eyes looking up at me and asks politely~

"What mom?"

I told him how "not nice" it was that he would go off and hit Fisher, when Fisher was being kind and playing with him.

Rider looks down, knowing this wasn't his best moment and...

...as picked on as he could convey he says~

"But Mom, it hurt my hand...."

HAAHAHAHHHAAAA!! Too bad you live so far away! Your Rider sounds like a perfect match for my Brant...it is so hard to be the one left behind and with a strong personality when it comes to meshing with siblings. Good thing they are so irresistably cute! :)

Hey, just got caught up on your last few posts! So glad you are happy. The pix of the first day of school are so cute. Shy looks so pretty. I can't believe she's a cheerleader...and a senior! Even crazier! Keep us updated on the football season. Love you guys, Jes

I can totally relate, every time my kids get in trouble I feel like saying, "It punished me for you to not play with friends today." :) Glad you're having fun with him at home with ya!
