Froggie Baby

There isn't anything much cuter than a Froggie Baby.

I am a frog lover. Shylee took these pictures when we were at Nelson Ledges today. I wasn't feeling very good today, and this lifted my spirits. She set Mr. Frog on an existing carved heart with the arrow.

Around here we can't simply call it a frog. It's either Froggie Baby, Mr. Frog, Mr. Froggie Baby, and on.

Most are gone and hibernating, except for this little guy. It was a wonderful fall surprise.

Falling For Fall

I love Fall.

I walked down our lane (Melanie's Lane) to take pictures of my manly husband using his chainsaw to cut firewood for the winter, and I took these pictures on the way. Unfortunately when I got to him, my battery was totally dead in my camera :( So, I missed my pics of my Jeremiah Johnson!

The pictures of our Springer Spaniel, Moqui, look like they were taken in a studio!! It cracks me up! Our photogenic dog! I love her! She has got to be the best darn dog in the whole wide world!

The color change here is amazingly beautiful. Even better and more vibrant than last year. I will be taking more pictures when my batteries have charged. I want to go into Middlefield, a town just down the road from us, and take some pics of the vast Amish Farms and rolling hills with trees, ooooohhhh...It's beautiful!

Trapper and Fisher made this just for me!!!

I didn't clean the floor they made it on, but we have made different versions of SLIME over the past 2 days! It's Nice to that I am appreciated!

Then Rider goes to pick Mom up~

"No, I can't save you...you too heavy!!!!!"

Fourteen and Fall

Lance Albern turned 14 yesterday!! Honestly it is still trying to sink in. I went and bought him birthday candles the night before and I threw a 1 and a 3 in the cart. Then a few minutes later I realized I needed a 1 and a 4!!!!! 14? Shylee is a few months from becoming 16. It just bewilders me...

Lance Albern is a kick-back kid. He wanted money and to go to the mall with 2 of his friends. So, that's what he did. And in turn he bought 2 shirts and a zip up jacket.

Then we came home and we had cake and ice cream. He talked on the phone to Grandpa and Grandma right before he blew out his candles. They sang him their ghastly rendition of Happy Birthday :)




I love fall. I love pumpkins, candles, cinnamon rolls, warm glowing fires, and celebrating birthdays!!!

I love this Family Gem. It is so true. Here we are 2 years away from doc.'s wages and my boys and my girl are outside hauling loads and loads of firewood to the house to heat us for the winter; watching my husband wielding a chain saw falling trees. No matter how much is in our account (speaking of years to come...not now:), nothing beats working together as a family for a great purpose.

Grandpa was playing a cute game with Rider (when they were here last week). Grandpa would do something naughty and Rider would get to pull Grandpa's hair.

Oh, Rider was loving this!

So then it was Lance's turn. So Lance says "Oh, sorry, I guess you get to pull my hair now..."

And silly Rider laughs and then says~

"No Dad, I can't pull your hair!!! You no have hair!"
