How We Receive Inspiration

There is a way to build on bedrock by developing a deep personal conversion to the gospel of Jesus Christ and knowing how to receive inspiration. We must know—and know that we know. We must stand spiritually and temporally independent of all worldly creatures (see D&C 78:14). This begins by understanding that God the Father is the Father of our spirits and that He loves us, that Jesus Christ is our Redeemer and Savior, and that the Holy Ghost can communicate with our minds and our hearts (see D&C 8:2–3). This is how we receive inspiration. We need to learn how to recognize and apply these promptings.”

I know I am oozing quips about gospel principals, but I need them right now...Could you imagine how hard some things would be if we didn't have the strength of our Heavenly Father, Brother and the Holy Ghost with us? I wouldn't want to go through trials without the knowledge of the true and eternal gospel principles...

Not saying I master this, but it is a great reminder!!!

Simple Pleasures

My family brings me happiness, no doubt about that. I love my home, my land, my bed, etc.

But there are things and moments in life, that seem so simple, that bring me an immense amount of joy and satisfaction to me and my family.



We have this super sweet lawn mower, that my older children give rides to the younger children on, on an everyday basis. Rider is the main candidate. He usually wakes right up and within 10-15 minutes is asking for a "lawn mower ride." That sound more like "awahnmowewwide." Mouthful of marbles sometimes....






Rider's trike brings joy to him everyday, inside and out of the house! Notice that his trike is toting around a car? It has towing capabilities.




I revel in delight when my children
play with each other on their own.
There are Lego cities to be built, and Lego homes,
and anything else imaginable,
and the construction site is left in
pieces and parts of all over my real home
(and left outside of),

that is not built from Legos.

There are younger children being
carried in pillowcases by the
older kids, tickle fights on the
couch, storage buckets to be


filled with little boys...






I love playing the piano and singing.
That is an every day occurrence that
brings me peace and satisfaction every time.

I've decided
that it has saved little children
from their demise on occasion!

The Painful Truth!

Rider and I were playing a game. It's quite a cute lil' game that Shylee and he started playing together. For instance: you grab the other one's nose and say I got your nose, and the other one talks all nasally and expresses how they need their nose back. Then with the eyes- you feel all around as if you are blind, and the cutest one is the brain. After they say that they have your brain you have to tip your head to the side and go "Duuuhhhh" like Patrick Star would.

So, here we are having a great son and mother togetherness, playing a cute game.

He grabs my nose....he grabs my eyes...he grabs my brain...then he grabs my MOUSTACHE!!!!!

What????

Totally unfair!

I just waxed it a week ago :)

Stuck in my Mind

I can't get this picture outta my mind! Everytime I look at it, I crack up and belly-laugh! It's Cally, my sis-in-law, and Lane my bro-in-law.

I can't get over Lane's face. I love Cally's plea for help..."Save Me!"

I'm just not sure that there is a funnier picture in the world!!

PS They are on a boulder about 3 feet tall!

Happy Birthday Honey!

Today is Lance's Birthday! We went over to some great friends of ours on Friday, to celebrate. Lance has been working his hiney off and hasn't had a day off in a few weeks besides Friday!

Lance is an amazing father and a great hubby! I love him and I am so grateful that I've got him!

He has been wonderful at sharing his favorite past time with the kids. He teaches and enjoys fishing and hunting with them. He never wants to go by himself because he doesn't want to lose an opportunity that he could share with the kids.
