I have to admit...when a commercial comes on that has talking vegetables it makes me sad.
It makes me sad because even as cute as they can be, they are going to be dead in a matter of minutes, from the time they were talking.
For instance:
The commercial for Pocket Plates, where the cute little carrots were whining because big gooey applesauce was getting over into their spot. It was cute! Super cute!
But daunting...
Because in a matter of minutes, even seconds, those carrots are going to be crying out in pain, begging for their lives, while being chewed to their death in some enamel coated, bacteria infested, cage of doom.
Do you realize from the time that commercial was made to the time it was viewed the carrots were already dead?
We are all so concerned about not eating the animals or their bi-products, but have we ever considered the vegetables?
After you see this commercial, I am pretty convinced that even the best vegetarian out there, will be left with sadness, compassion for the innocent lives of beta carotene rich plant life.

It's sad, really.

You're so right. Poor vegetables. They bring it on themselves sometimes, being so crunchy.
