If Looks Could Kill

If looks truly could kill, then my life, as we know it, would have ended this morning at precisely 8:05.
Here is the timeline of activities leading up to the unfortunate attempt to take my life:
7:40 I awoke Trapper, my dear son. I had let him sleep in. I was unsuspecting, thinking all is well, assuming he had a great night of sleep.
7:41 1st attempt on my life (the look of death)
7:45 second attempt on my life
7:46 he could have gone for manslaughter as he was putting his socks on

7:50 Premeditation begins: "I can't go to school today, I went to bed at like 11:07 and then I was up all night...and your making me go to school."
7:55 3rd attempt on life, but up to this point, sour looks are weak, and not producing side effects close to death.
8:00 patient seems to be making progress. strolling down the driveway as if nothing has transpired...
8:02 "I can't believe you are making me go to school. I am going to get sick."
8:03 "Ya know, I don't think I got any sleep at all last night. No, I know I didn't sleep at all."
8:04 Patient seems to be slipping back into his previous pattern.
8:04 1/2 He seems to have made peace with the fact that he is going to school, as he leisurely meanders up the steps of the big yellow bus. He sits down...He takes his place....
8:05 Then it happens... the 4Th and final attempt on my life.
He assumes the face and to my dismay, it was....

The Look That Could Kill

He sears at his victim until the bus pulled out of sight.....I wish I could have snapped a picture right then, but unfortunately, I don't carry my camera everywhere, almost everywhere, but not here at this moment. But luckily I did have it the day before, when we went for a walk to the pond and I was a recipient then of his searing big baby blues.

Only those of strong constitutions may view The Look of Death....

Lori, don't you know God gave moms more than 9 lives. He obviously knew that we would all recieve the dreaded "look of death". So not to worry. No children will land in prison on your account. Although because it wasn't my child I did get a good laugh. Thanks.

That is too much! I acually did a huge belly laugh as the bus was pulling away. I don't know that Trapper would appreciate knowing that his scary face doesn't have the effect he would like it to:)

I love the shoulders dropping, *deep sigh* and a slight eye-roll that accompanies my kids as they go stomping over to do a small task I ask of them! Oh how "the look" seems like such a weapon for chore-stopping! loved the time-frame chronology on this post...hillair! loves, Jes
